Fox Valley Technical College is offering "Short Story Magic."
Description: Discover effective techniques for portraying a lot, quickly, in a short story! The short story is experiencing renewed popularity, and its techniques are also excellent for novels, screenplays and biographies. Learn to engage readers; use dialogue, action, and emotional “turnovers,” have settings mirror them; and build scenes that lead to a memorable climax.
Class meets from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Neenah Regional Center. Cost is $21.88 or $5.10 if you 62 or older.
