Congrats to Jessica and Tom - Jessica is a finalist for the Christmas stories edition of "Cup of Comfort," and Tom recently had two poems published in a new literary magazine titled "Literary Mary."

Meeting Reminder

The Oshkosh Area Writers Club will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21 in the lower level meeting room of the Oshkosh Public Library, 106 Washington Ave. Tom C. is the Spotlight Author.

Writers' Institute

Fox Cities Book Festival

Celebrate the pure joy of reading and make plans today to attend the Fox Cities Book Festival, which will be held April 14-19, 2009 in various Fox Valley cities.

Highlights include:

10 a.m. Thursday, April 16, Neenah Public Library: Michael Perry. Perry is the author of Population 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time and Truck: A Love Story.

Perry and his band, The Long Beds, will perform FREE at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton on Thursday, April 16, 7 p.m.

Other guest authors include Elizabeth Berg, Jess Riley, William Sleator, Lesley Kagen, Sherman Alexie and Victoria Houston.
