Holiday Party/Meeting
The Oshkosh Area Writers Club will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Oshkosh Public Library for its annual holiday party. Please bring a wrapped White Elephant gift (something you don't use/need that is in excellent/new condition). Refreshments will be provided.
As usual, we'll be setting personal goals for 2010 so start thinking now about what writing goals you hope to accomplish next year.
At 11 a.m. we will open it up for author critiques and at 11:30, we’ll discuss Author Spotlight Bob B.’s piece on Christmas.

Writer's Digest Writing Competition
Submissions are now being accepted for the 78th annual Writer's Digest Writing Competition.
There are 10 writing categories, including memoirs, poetry, short story, literary short story, inspirational and children's fiction. Cash prize awards for 1st to 10th place; 11th through 100 place receive a distinctive certificate.
Entry fee varies according to submission type and number of submissions; minimum fee is $15.
Deadline: May 14, 2010.
