The Oshkosh Area Writers Club was created in 2003 to share in the common interest of creative writing; inspire and motivate members to write; and provide a supportive forum for constructive feedback.
Membership is free and open to anyone 17 years of age or older.

The 5th annual Sheboygan Children’s Book Festival will be held Oct. 10-12, 2014. The event features author talks, art-making with illustrators, writing workshops, musical entertainment, book sales and signings, plus fun children’s activities and more! Wisconsin’s only children’s book festival is for kids, teens, families, and book lovers of all ages.
The Oshkosh Area Writers Club will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 in the lower level conference room of the Oshkosh Public Library. Also, a reminder that local author Laurence Dunn will speak on his memoir, Ugly But Funny, at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22 in the lower level meeting room of the Oshkosh Public Library. The program is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served. Note: This will be our last Local Author Spotlight program for the year.
Local writer Laurence Dunn will do an Author Visit at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22 in the lower level meeting room of the Oshkosh Public Library. His book is titled Ugly...But Funny and is a humorous look at his childhood.
Mr. Dunn's presentation is part of our Local Author series in partnership with the Oshkosh Public Library. The program is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase/signing and refreshments will be served. For more info, call 236-5203 and ask for Ruth.
